Solar Panel Installation watched by the cat
Published under Solar Energy by admin. No Comments .
Installing solar panels in a day, professional installation. Called to see us on the Tuesday and fitted them on the Thursday well before the FIT changes on the 12th December. This south facing system still generates power during very cloudy days, around from 30 to 70 watts, better than nothing! On clear days when the sun is out and low in the sky (December and January so far) it gets up to 2kW so expecting more as the seasons change to spring and summer.

Time-lapse solar panel installation (no sound)
Published under Solar Energy by admin. No Comments .
The guys from SolarCity worked hard all day. Now the roof has 16 panels that, at peak and as a group, can produce 3750 watts of electricity (pushed back into the grid for our neighbors). Movement is speed up by a factor of 360, so what you see took 10 hours in real-time.
