@chipjumper That’s a good point…….I have way more money on really worse things.

#17 chipjumper - 02 May, 12:31 AM

I don’t see why people are being so negative about the price. This is a good start. Hey – while we still have disposable income; why don’t we spend it on something like this instead of booze, gambling, and jet skiis.

#18 london1817 - 02 May, 1:10 AM

@xSeriox4 Well that all depends on how much power you use.
Some people can….They run gas stoves, gas water heater, gas clothes dryer, gas frigerators…..Then the rest on solar….most the time its like that …..that I have seen.

Can a solar power cover the whole house? Can you connect every thing to it, and forget about paying the electric bill?

@jian2069 I haven’t heard the term “hotboxing” since the 80′s!
That was funny!!……Have fun camping & hotboxing !!! haha!!

#21 jian2069 - 02 May, 3:20 AM

@london1817 thanks for the input, and yeah the hotplate is more for ‘thinking like a hippie’ and hotboxing a tent ;D

#22 london1817 - 02 May, 4:10 AM

@jian2069 Yes…i think it would be good to buy the devices with solar already on the device….They have killer radio’s at radio shack now…as for the hot plate………………..open fire my man!!!! start to read mother earth ( the old ones) magizines Think like a hippie……..& have fun camping!! …… later…………

#23 jian2069 - 02 May, 4:30 AM

#24 MrEnergyCzar - 02 May, 5:01 AM

Keep up the good work…I converted my home to a net-zero solar powered home that uses no oil or gas…it’s called, “Preparing for Peak Oil”….
