    12v LED , Is this required , is it a dump load ? can I safely use the
    charge controller without a load?

    smart enough to not harm the panels or anything??

  8. OK, I’m a little confused. The MC4 wires coming from the panel need to be
    connected to a charge controller. But the charge controller doesn’t have
    MC4 connectors. It requires bare wires. Do I need to buy a set of MC4 wires
    and cut the wires in half so that I can strip the wire from one end? That
    seems like a waste. Is there another option for making the connection from
    the MC4 connector to the charge controller? ?

    travel trailer batteries is there a resistor in place to prevent
    overloading the 7 way circuit on the tow vehicle???

  10. what battery do you recommend? I need to run a CPAP machine all night,
    small tv/dvd player for a couple hours… I live in Arizona, so sun isnt a
    prob. This will all be mounted on my van for weekend camping. Thanks!!?

  11. I have the kit, the exact same kit, it is not too difficult to assemble,
    BUT,,,,,, this kit nor this video gives any REAL INFO on how to use
    install/ insert an inverter, a large multi device 2000watt inverter or
    greater. THESE GUYS WORK WITH THIS STUFF SO MUCH THAT THEY OVERLOOK THE
    FACT THAT MOST OF US DO NOT KNOW HOW TO SPELL “WATTS” OUT HERE, AND THEY
    JUST ASSUME THAT IF WE ARE DOING THIS WE AUTOMATICALLY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE
    SHOWING US AND SAYING… WHICH I HAVE FOUND IS THE CASE IN 90% OF ALL
    VIEWERS, SIMPLY BECAUSE OF THE QUESTIONS THAT ARE PRESENTED. Those 2
    panels IN THIS VIDEO are large enough to provide the input power to drive
    several devices of different wattages and Amperages…IF YOU HAVE YOUR
    BATTERY ARRAY SETUP CORRECTLY IN PARRALLAL, AND YOU HAVE AT LEAST 4 NEW
    BATTERIES DO NOT THROW AN OLD BATTERY INTO YOUR MIX IT WILL DRAIN THE
    OTHERS OVER TIME AND THEN YOU WILL HAVE A EXTENDED CHARGE TIME ALWAYS ONCE
    THAT OCCURS. when I am hooking up new devices or for that matter any
    devices I want the ((( AMPS ))),,,, FOR EXAMPLE I HOOKED UP A SMALL WINDOW
    A/C UNIT I HAD BOUGHT FROM A HARDWARE STORE, 3000 BTUS, IT HAS A 3 SPEED
    FAN AND OF COURSE THE COMPRESSOR. IT WAS PULLING 11 AMPS AT START UP, HOW
    DO I KNOW THAT? I PURCHASED AN INEXPENSIVE VOLT METER THAT MEASURES
    EVERYTHING AND DETERMINE THE AMP DRAW AT STARTUP MOST APPLIANCES WILL TELL
    YOU WHAT THAT IS ON THE DETAIL STICKER ON THE DEVICE. IT THE A/C UNIT CAME
    UP AND BEGAN TO COOL JUST FINE. THE AMPERAGE DRAW WAS NOT OVER THE LIMIT
    OF THE INVERTER, OR HOW MUCH IT WAS RATED AT, THE INVERTER HAS A 20 AMP
    FUZE IN IT, IT HANDLES THE OVERLOAD CONDITIONS, IF I HAVE ANY. I WAS
    PLEASANTLY SURPRISED THAT THE 3000 BTU A/C UNIT RAN AS WELL AS IT DID, BUT
    THE 5000 BTU UNIT WOULD NOT COOL, THE FAN CAME ON BUT IT WOULD NOT DRIVE
    THE COMPRESSOR. TOO MUCH AMPERAGE AT START UP, IT TRIPPED THE INTERNAL
    RESET IN THE INVERTER AND I HAD TO RESET AND LET IT COOL OFF FOR A MINUTE,
    AND THEN I HOOKED UP A ROOM HEATER WITH A SMALL FAN IT RAN JUST FINE NON
    STOP. I HAVE RUN BIG 20 INCH FANS,LED LIGHTS, A RADIO, A TV ETC, WITH NO
    PROBLEMS. NOW I DID NOT RUN ALL OF THESE AT THE SAME TIME ONLY 2 OR 3
    MAX. SO I AM COMFORTABLE WITH MY SETUP. I INTEND TO PUT ONE OF THESE IN 4
    DIFFERENT ROOMS IN MY HOME. I WILL STILL BE ON THE GRID AS MY PRIMARY
    SOURCE, BUT I AM GOING TO SUPPLEMENT WITH STUFF LIKE FANS LIGHTS HEATERS
    A/C UNITS JUST TO SURVIVE !!!!!!!!!!!!! LETS TALK AMPS FOR A MOMENT, IF I
    HAVE A 20 INCH FAN, 2 LEDS OF SAY 20 WATTS EACH, A PHONE CHARGER AND A
    RADIO HOOKED UP AND RUNNING ALL AT THE SAME TIME I MIGHT HAVE A TOTAL OF 7
    AMPS OUTPUT OR DRAW ON THE SYSTEM, MY INVERTER IS RATED AT 14 AMPS, SO I AM
    ONLY AT HALF OF THE MAX LOAD THAT THE INVERTER WILL CARRY, I FEEL VERY
    COMFORTABLE WITH THAT NUMBER. ONLY PROBLEM,,,,,, I AM REALLY USING THE
    JUICE,!!!!!!! IF MY BATTERY BANK ARRAY IS NOT LARGE ENOUGH AND OR NOT
    FULLY CHARGED IT WILL IN SEVERAL HOURS COMPLETELY DISCHARGE. NOW THE
    CHARGE CONTROLLER WILL SENSE THAT AND SHUT IT DOWN WHEN IT GETS TO THE RED
    LINE LIMIT ON THE OUTPUT SIDE, THE PANELS WORK SLOW, THAT IS WHY YOU NEED
    TO KEEP THEM IN THE SUN AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS. MAYBE
    EVEN 10- 12 HOURS EXPOSED IS ABOUT RIGHT.
    AS I SAID ABOVE I AM GOING TO ASSEMBLE 4 OF THESE KITS, AND HAVE THEM IN
    DIFFERENT PARTS OF MY HOME ON CARTS WITH WHEELS TO BE ABLE TO POSITION THEM
    IN THE SUN ALLDAY. I WILL NOT LEAVE THESE OUT IN THE WEATHER EXCEPT
    POSSIBLY ON THE COVERED PATIO WHERE THE SUN CAN ACTUALLY REACH THE PANELS
    EVEN ON A CLOUDY OR RAINY DAY THEY STILL WILL CHARGE. IF I HAVE EVEN 2 OF
    THESE KITS I AM 100% SELF SUPPORTIVE, AND 100 % OFF THE GRID IF NEED BE , I
    HOPE THIS HELPS.. I HAD THE SAME QUESTIONS YOU ALL HAD, I DUG AND DUG AND
    READ AND TALKED TO ELECTRICIANS ETC ETC UNTIL I HAD THE BIG FULL PICTURE OF
    WHAT THESE KITS COULD DO. I WOULD MAKE ONE LAST SERIOUS COMMENT, GO
    FIND SOME QUALITY LED LIGHTS AND USE THEM. THEY DRAW PRACTICALLY ZERO
    JUICE,. IN FACT AS CRAZY AS THIS SOUNDS I AM CHARGING MY SYSTEM WITH AN LED
    AT NIGHT IN MY GARAGE THAT IS PLUGGED INTO A WALL OUTLET IN THE GARAGE. I
    WOULD NEVER HAVE BELIEVED THAT JUST THAT ONE LIGHT ( led ) WOULD BE ENOUGH
    TO CHARGE TO BATTERIES. A FLOURESCENT WILL ALSO WORK BUT IT BURNS ALOT OF
    JUICE. I HAVE 4- 4 FOOT FLOURESCENTS IN THE CEILING BUT I DO NOT NEED TO
    TURN THEM ON, THE ONE LITTLE 20 WATT LED IS DOING THE JOB.
    HERE IS MY SETUP IN A NUT SHELL, 4 NEW SEALED LEAD BATTERIES, HOOKED UP IN
    PARRALLEL, I BOUGHT THE CABLES FROM O’REILLYS TO HOOK THEM UP THEY ARE ONLY
    1 INCH APART ON THE CART BOTTOM SHELF YEA IT IS HEAVY BUT I BUILT IT WITH
    QUALITY WHEELS. THE SECOND SHELF IT THE INVERTER I BOUGHT OFF AMAZON THE
    BESTEX 2000WATT INVERTER, WITH ALL THE BELLS AN WHISTLES, AND THE 3 -110
    OUTLETS ONT HE FRONT. THE 2 PANELS ARE SETTING ON THE FRONT OF THE CART AT
    AN ANGLE ABOUT 24 DEGREES THEY ARE CONNECTED, AND THE INTERFACE BOX IS THEN
    HOOKED TO THE BATTERIES, THE BATTERIES ARE HOOKED TO THE BACK OF THE
    INVERTER THAT IS IT. PANELS, BATTERIES,INVERTER, DEVICES, SOME OF THESE
    SOLAR PANEL SITES MAKE IT LOOK AND SEEM LIKE ROCKET SCIENCE AND IT REALLY
    ISN’T… BELIEVE ME I WAS THERE IN THE BEGINNING.. WELL I MUST APPOLLOGISE
    FOR THE LENGTH OF THIS RESPONSE BUT I FELT IT WAS TIME WE PUT SOME SERIOUS
    INFO OUT THERE.?

    scratch at home try samtawke DIY solar panels (Have a quick look on google
    cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about
    it and my m8 got great results with it. ?

  14. I appreciate you’re demonstrating the hook up with a kit and you’ve done a
    good job, however, we live in Texas and the summers are brutal. We run a/c
    24/7 plus the normal uses of a house. What type of system would you
    recommend for off grid? Thanks in advance.?
