  1. where can i read about all the codes that i need to know, so that i can install my panels on my own and not have problems trying to pass? inspection? Also, where can i get parts for installl? Thanks.

  2. not? that I know of…I just took 2 seperate systems and combined…you could go to “ABOUTSOLARCELLS.COMXA.COM” and get ideas…thats where all mine come from.

  3. You can buy those now for under $1/W and? $15 shipping (at least to NY where I live). I’m not part of the company ABOUTSOLARCELLS.COMXA.COM but I would feel bad to see people pay $300 for one of them if they can get it for half.
Dude, I like your videos but lets try to make solar more affordable!

  4. Arieleno is right. This install is incorrect and voids your roof warranty? when water begins to leak

  5. just to let you know, clearance between roof and solar panels must be minimum 3″ inches . its a code
i saw your solar videos you have A+ set up very neat ,wish my look like? that neat 🙂

  6. Visit the best?? solar blog for Romania Solar Energy

  7. man home owners hire a solar installer to help you a little, I bet for not much more money. for sure in the long run on this install. I like seeing all these ideas of course, let me know how many? years it will hold water.

  8. While this install may be fast and easy, it relies entirely on roof sealant, and will fail in time. As in, your roof will leak, eventually. There are much better and still very easy methods for mounting rails to shingled roofs. Look up Quick Mount PV
    Classic Composition Mount
    Aluminum Mill Finish
Model 0100. Using these, water will? never come into contact with your penetration and therefore will not fail before your roof does. This could save you a lot of time/money/frustration.

  9. hey man, great job! i really? need to do more research into this. what are you planning on running with these?

  10. Awesome setup! Another way to show it gets even easier and less expensive for the average joe to setup his own solar on the roof!!?

  11. This is an informative video.
Solar panels are too expensive !
It takes 10 years to cover up the investment

  12. Nice video, I like the sounds o’ dat “hot dipped” rails lol. hello everyone who is interested in this kind of thing right? after me and watches everything in the same order as me! 🙂

  13. If this comment is for me, you might want to watch the video again. I used hot dipped galv unistrut on this project with spacers that keep the strut off of the roof……?

  14. Has more resistance to corrosion and unistrut catalogue shows better than 25 years that means the unistrut wont corrode as its zinc coating thiickness is more in hot deep galvanozed steels.
another thing you should not put directly put the galvanied steel directly on roof surface its contact area with roof surface it enhance the? corrosion activity as the roof surface has material which can enhance the corrosion during the wet season.
always use hotdip galvanized unistrut they are costly but safe

  15. You? should not use the ordinary galvanized unistrut, they are electrogalvanized, their galvanized coating avarage life in open and moisture environment is 3 to 4 years which eventually its surface corrodes. what happens the aluminium frame of solar panel acts as sacrifical anode when it is connected to unistrut steel, therefore during rainy or moisture seasons, slowly the aluminium fram of solar panel gets corroded and fail eventually.
you better use hotdip galvanized unistrut which ….

  16. You can? get them at Home Depot but you will need to paint them because they will rust. They are zinc and not the hot dipped galvanized. You can get the galvanized ones at any commerical electricl supply and they will not rust…………..
