  1. Very nice video! Thanks for taking the time to show us. It is very helpful. These? kinds of videos are like giving someone a drink of water on a hot day. Thanks.

  2. Thanks for watching bro!! I’m glad I was able to help ya out! Let me know if u ever have anymore questions on this setup!!!?

  3. Survivalists2012, I just want to say thank you for a great job on both videos about this project.? It was extremely helpful… I will be using your videos instead of a fancy drawing to do the wife convincing method….lol
Awesome job bud and thanks again.

  4. meatdog101, Depending on the wire size used coming off your? panels you can just purchase more of the same gauge wire and splice them together to make them as long as you need.

  5. mackuss, One of the cords goes to the light in the kitchen from the inverter and the other one goes to the outlets in the rooms from the inverter. its? actually a really nice little setup. maybe survivalists2012 will correct me if I’m wrong but that is how I understand it from both vids. Great job and thanks for the details.

  6. So I’m confused about one thing, the? regular extension cable coming from the inverter, where is the other individual going?

  7. Question, I want to build a setup as a portable power pack generator to take with me at the park camping or where ever I need power. Can this 45 watt harbor freight work with a Marine deep cycle battery and a 1500watt power inverter that can pull power. Also How can I hook up plugs like the ac oulet and switch to the power pack? please let me know.

  8. Dude, you rock!!! I really like the way you set this up, very neat, and easy to use. And, easy would be easy for anyone? to do!
Thank you for posting this video!

  9. It is easy to sit back and say bad things about someone else’s video when you are not in the spotlight. That way you can act like master electrician when you might be a greeter at? Walmart. If you are adding some constructive criticism then maybe start off with something other then “You have a hack job there my friend”. This is a great job that was well planned and thought out in my opinion. I got some solid ideas from these videos. Thank you 2012.

  10. my wires that coming from my solar panels are not long enough to reach my charge controller, can anyone tell me what options do i have to? extend the wires to reach my controller?

  11. Nice setup there! People are missing the point, it’s for demonstration purposes and in case? of power outage you have a temporary backup solution. You can always add- on to your setup to. People are hating out here in YouTube land. This trolling thing has got to stop!

  12. If you can find an old camper somewhere that you can get real cheap, youll have about everything you need, plus youll be able to see how the 12 volt system is? wired when you pull things apart.

  13. Looks like it’s close enough to code. You used a 3 wire extension cord which if I would venture a guess looked to be a 14/3 stranded copper.? That’s plenty big for a few lights. Cieling lights and bedroom outlets are often wired in 14 gauge romex. Romex is not stranded as a rule and the stranded wire you did use can actually carry more wattage safely than solid romex can. Keep up the good work. Despite what some “Know It All” fools have to say, you did a fine job. Your video helped many people.

  14. My system should be up and running in the next few days! It is very similar to yours!? Nice work!

  15. Hi. Thanks for posting your video. Could you tell? me what gauge wire you used to ground the inverter?

  16. Thinking about getting some solar panels? but what can you actually run off a system of 6-9 of panels? If power goes out for a few days and I have some of these charging some batteries would it keep the freezer running?

  17. Nice! Why didn’t you just tie into the current electrical lines already running through the house. My system is located right next to the main grid fuse box, so I was thinking of just cutting the wire to the specific receptical I want and wire that into the inverter. All the wiring to the? outlet is already done, just change the electricity going into it at the source. Beautiful system, though.

  18. Man! Thanks for taking the time to? post your video, got several good ideas from you. I just bought my first HF unit, I’m excited! Thanks Again!
