very informative.. thank you for sharing this..?
Also what is the price for the 200 watt kit??
In your opinion, which is the best type of battery, gel filled or water?
Hi Jeff i have a quick question… what if it’s only 100 watts panel with a
charge controller and a deep cycle 70AH? how many bulbs would it cater? or
let we say i will be using 2 unit 12v DC electric fan 15 watts and 4 LED 4
watts lights? how long would it run?
Thanks,
Allan?
What type of battery you suggest. Plus,12 volt or 24 volt for going off
grid?
Jeff what is with the 110 outlet plug mounted just below the solar panels?
Is there a way to make them HOT off this type Solar Panel System??
Hi Jeff ! I have a 20ft. cargo trail and wanted to know if the 200w solar
kit would work on that.. I will have 2 or 3 batteries each one will be 155
amp hrs.. I would love to hear your input on this. It will run L E D lights
and my pc laptop and some other stuff .. I’d love to hear from you Thank
you for your time and your inspiration .please keep up the great work hope
to see more videos soon?
Do I need to install blocking diodes on my homemade solar panels if I am
only plugging them into a gridtie inverter with no batteries??
Was disappointed. thought it was going to be a DIY on building solar
panels. instead of a commercial. I live off grid and use 500 watts (solar
panels adding to) 24 volt system, 8 golf cart batteries. Am going to need
to replace my inverter as the control module is dying. Plan to use outback
instead of xantrex 2424 as my charge controler is from outback is maxpower
point and I run my panels in series so I get much better performance than
with parallel/ I am wanting a smaller system (cheap) or DIY for out
buildings. out buildings can be 12 volt as mostly will be lights and
occassionally a quick hand tool use, where it is more bother to start the
generator than is worth. Like drill one hole or grind off a sharp edge on
a little project. Right now I save them up and do a day of things rather
than complete as I come to it. I figure 2 to 6 hundred in 12 volt with 4
marine batteries and my 1500 watt inverter will get me operational, not
perfect but working. do you have DIY for a project like mine (cheap is
good).?
Hi,man thanks for your time for teaching,I have one question,,¿where you
buy solar panels?I need buy,,thanks again,!!?
Hi Jeff
Been watching your vids this beautiful Saturday
Finding them to provide clear and useful info.
My Dodge Van’s 270watt solar city panel, on the ladder on the roof racks,
is used to keep my cordless power tools charged
plus the fans, inside lights and the laptop all stays fully charged.
Thanks for clearing up some of the solar controller questions I had on some
of your other vids.?
I don’t see this kit offered on your website!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
Hey Jeff, thanks for all your videos! you are very informative and great
video for the beginners like me! Keep up a good work mate!?
What type of solar set up would it take to supply a 60 gallon hot water
heater for a family of 2?..?
I don’t get it, why do say they put out a lot of power? Earlier you say
the two panels can power one electric light bulb. If I have 10 light in my
house I would need 20 panels right? And 20 panels wouldn’t be enough to
power my refrigerator.
Do you have any that produce more power? ?
Seems simple enough. Thanks for sharing.?
Thanks Jeff good info?
Hi Jeff: love all your videos, easy to follow and understand, but I have a
question. If I want to set up a small solar system to run a small 135w
fridge, how many solar panels would I need?,and also how many batteries and
what kind of charge controller and inverter? Thank you and Happy Holidays!?
Hey jeff, have you got any more of those solar panels that are returned as
faulty?
No, i am sorry but i don’t. I haven’t had anymore panels with blemishes.
haha now your being a smart ass… that is way I love watching your videos
haha 🙂
The charge controller is 30 amps. Each panel is about 4 amp output. So the
answer would be about 8 100 watt volt panels.. Thanks moguy316 for the good
comment.
How much do you have your 100 watt 12v panels jeff?? Is there a discount if
bought in quantity?
hey Jeff buddy I am betting the solar panels would work kick ass if you had
them outside.. I’m only saying this because it looks like there inside…..
haha just busting your balls 🙂
Good idea Richard.
