In this video I show the assembled unit of the 45 watt solar panel kits from Harbor Freight. It was a easy install and require less work then what I thought….

Yeah I know, guess I was excited that?? I had the solar system I got my wires crossed back then. I’m more knowledgeable now that I have it and used the Harbor Freight 45 Watt Solar Kit over the last year. Have used system several times over the last year, with the 115 amp deep cell battery I have now, during power outages where I didn’t have to use the gas generator. Nice little system that pays out big during power outages when you need light for several hours instead of using flashlights. : )
the number on the front of the charge controler is Voltage, not Wattage. also, the little box that transforms the? power from 12v to 110v is an Inverter.
As you had the setup there, it is really inefficient to convert from dc to ac and? back to dc. I’m looking to get this setup for my boat to keep the batteries topped off. Great Video!
uh…? looks like a great kit.
My Dad has this exact same kit. I want to put it together for him. He says it won’t charge his tractor battery. but he didn’t even take it out? of the box ?
solar is my? life!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep, your hooked. Hope? your wife knows what she got you into. LOL.-Nate
nice little gift.you now have the solar bug.i started with one of those kits and now i have about 4000w of? solar and a few wind turbines.keep us updated
Thanks for the view Bill. Haven’t done an actual YouTube in awhile and yesterdays little solar panel project gave me an opportunity to break out the Zi8 for a YouTube. Find with today’s cloudy/overcast day they don’t work to well. Low voltage where I can’t do any charging of battery pack. That’s ok because? it’s expected and why they make small wind generators to help supplement on those type days. Of course a wind generator is down the road a bit.
Thank you for the view Bill! : )
Congratulations and lots of savings from solar! ?
