Some Great Reasons To Get Into The Solar Business

Looking for a business that has tons of growth potential and which is also good for the environment? You are probably well-aware of the remarkable advances in solar technologies over the past decade, and today millions of home and business owners are looking for well trained professionals to help them outfit their properties with solar heating or electrical solutions and even solar lighting designs.

There is not likely to be a more appropriate time to enter into the solar business than this current era. Consumer awareness is growing stronger thanks in equal parts to the economy and the threatened status of the environment. Telling consumers that they might supply their own hot water or electricity, which saves tons of money, while also reducing their “carbon footprint” or impact on the planet is a truly winning sales pitch.

Of course, many people are extremely keen to utilize solar technologies, but they simply lack the know how to do so. This is where a solar business can step in with many solutions. Solar technologies have advanced so rapidly that many consumers still believe they will require large solar panels on their lawns or roofs in order to enjoy its benefits. Explaining that solar cells can be integrated into roof shingles or that there are even appliances designed to work well with solar powered homes will probably shock many modern consumers. Consider that you may even be able to host solar seminars as part of a business, and educate consumers about what technologies are available, and then of course offer to provide them with the services!

“Green” trends all ready indicate that many consumers are looking for earth-friendly solutions wherever they can find them. From rain barrels attached to gutters to super fuel efficient automobiles a majority of consumers are paying attention to the latest trends and options in “green” living. Offering solar solutions that they can implement into their day to day lives will be sure to attract a good deal of attention and business. For example, a solar business can focus on:

Lighting fixtures, design and installation services Home energy or water heating systems Powering homes or businesses Pool heating and solar lamp post lighting Selling carbon offsets for a solar power plant

These, of course, are only a few of the options for those hoping to create a solar business, but they indicate the wide range of coverage or services that can be made available, and which will be of great interest to more and more consumers in the coming decades.

Earth 4 Energy Review – is it a Home-made Solar Power Scam?

This article will give a detailed review on Earth 4 Energy product which is sold on the internet. I have tried other similar product which turned out to be a scam after payment was being made. Is Earth 4 Energy product a scam? You will find out in this article.

This kind of program may look like a scam at first sight due it sound too good to be true. People are often feeling skeptical when they read the sale page. Other similar program does not work as well as Earth 4 Energy’s material, because it covered everything in detail with illustration and diagrams. So it is quite easy to follow within the instruction manual. It also includes step-by-step videos which show you how to do it correctly without confusion.

The program teaches how to build a home-made solar power and wind mill that generate energy. The materials can be downloaded instantly through the website. The ebook is 73 pages which require Adobe Reader to open. Inside the actual manual, it consists of 16 chapters which have a lot of instructional diagrams and pictures. My favorite spot is where it gives tip on how to get a free solar panel at no cost, it is kind of interesting on how you can obtain them at no charge. Parts can be purchased at a local store or on ebay. It tells you how you can get them at below market price.

With diagrams, the Earth 4 Energy gives you the exact measurement. The map is outlined with the whole system on how it works and structure. It shows you how the battery is installed and connected to a solar panel. The direction of wire is shown in detail so you won’t have to worry about the technical issue. As for the wind mill power, the author gives you some tips on how to get the motor and other parts at a very low cost. All instructions are written with easy to understand language and show how the power system actually works. So how could it be a scam if everything is so easy to follow and understand?

Solar Panels- Are They Right For You?

Solar panels are devices that convert light into electricity. Solar panels are dropping in price, but they still are not cheap, so if you’re switching to solar it’s a great time to also carefully evaluate your electricity use. Call your utility company and get an “energy audit” and follow the recommendations. Most homeowners can cut their use of electricity or gas by anywhere from 5% to 30%. By cutting your power usage to an absolute minimum you can purchase only the expensive solar panel capacity that is required for your home. PV (photovoltaic) solar panels are made from solar cells which are a semiconductor material.

Electricity

The process for creating electricity from sun light is rather complex, but all you need to know is that photons collide with electrons in the semiconductor material and essentially free them up to flow when hooked up to a battery. This flow of electrons is what makes an electrical current.

The average household uses 30kwh of electricity per day. Electrical utility companies are required by law to accommodate “net metering”. This means that you can sell your excess power back to the power company. Thus, if you are out at work on a sunny day, or go on a two-week skiing vacation and aren’t using any electricity, the power being created by the solar panels is going back into the grid to the utility company. In other words every kilowatt-hour of electricity produced by a solar energy system ends up being used to the advantage of the homeowner, either as power to run appliances when the homeowner is there or as a dollar-for-dollar credit provided by the utility company for power that is not being used.

Cost

The most important component of the PV solar panel system will probably be the amount of subsidy you are eligible for. Since some utility companies need to meet goals for the amount of renewable energy they furnish, there are some very attractive rebates offered at times. These can be large rebates indeed, up to 50% of the cost of a system or even higher. This can make a system that would support the average 30 kwh per day home cost roughly $20,000 rather than $40,000! In addition, there is a $2,000 tax credit offered by the federal government. However, this is not always the case. In our local area of Colorado there are several utility companies that service the region. One offers a 50% rebate as described above. Another offers a 66% rebate, and a third offers no rebate at all. So you need to check with your utility company to see what rebates, if any, apply to your location. You should also contact a solar panel contractor who can give you lots of information about system costs, and of course they will probably know the rebates offered in your local area. Typical PV solar panels cost about $4 per watt before installation. Installation is a major expense, however, and in the example cited above with a 50% rebate, final system costs will amount to about $6.50- $7.00 per watt installed.

Batteries

Batteries are required in stand-alone systems to provide energy during night hours. These can be very expensive, but if you have an isolated cabin, an RV, or some other need for power and don’t have access to the public power grid, a solar system with batteries is certainly a solution.

Conclusion

When you consider the costs of a full blown PV solar system which will cut your electric bill down to zero or close to it, you get one other benefit. The value of your property increases with such a system, and your property taxes will not increase because of this added value. In addition to the satisfaction of cutting down your carbon footprint significantly, your system will eventually pay for itself, and your property will be worth more as well. Keep these factors in mind when you calculate your pay-back period.

Solar Panels as Solar Energy

The Sun, worshiped by Pharos and kings, mentioned in almost all the Religious scriptures, symbolizes the beginning of all known energies that ever existed. Man kind was marveled of its magnificent appearance and power to effect almost all the climate changes in this world and built temples to worship the sun gods.

Though mankind gave away the gods that they believed in the past, they indeed still respect the sun as the source of aboundent energy. Modern day science has calculated that the sun unleashes a staggering one thousand watts of energy to a square meter of the Earth’s surface every second. That is enough energy of keep your iron on for one hour or lighting up a blub for 25 hours. Although the sun releases energy in such quantities mankind is still able harness a fraction of it.

In the modern days mankind has harnessed solar energy through the use of solar panels. Although the technology used to turn sunlight into electricity is still in its infancy stages, scientist are working hard to introduce more new and better technologies to harness the sun. One day we can be hopeful enough to go and buy a solar panel that will be reliable to support large household.

The Solar panel is made up of photovoltaic (PV) arrays. The word photovoltaic is a combination of the two words photo which refers to light and voltaic which refers to electricity. These photovoltaic modules are assembled to make up a photovoltaic cell also known as solar cell. These cells are installed and interconnected in a panel to create a photovoltaic array also known as a solar panel.

The photovoltaic (PV) cells are made out of material used in semiconductors (Crystalline silicon and gallium arsenide are the best substance currently in use). When light strikes these substances a portion of the energy that is with the light is absorbed, as result electrons the basic building blocks of electricity are released allowing them to flow freely. These electrons are directed in to single direction to obtain the necessary current. This current, together with the voltage defines the power that the solar panel can produce.

The main problem associated with the solar panel is its cost; with a PV panel costs ranging from $1 to $2 per watt companies are finding it difficult to produce viable solar panels for the market. Consumers on the other hand opt for budget solar cells, which provide lower output levels resulting in consumer disappointment.

Despite all of this disadvantages if you are interested in installing and using solar panels follow these steps.

First consider and have clear idea on what would you want to power up using a solar panel. There is a verity of smaller spot lights that could lighten your backyard. You can also invest on smaller solar panels that could be used to lighten up your garage lights or any remote place where it is difficult to provide electricity. Remember a solar panel is equal to a mobile power source. Unlike generators solar panels doesn’t pollute the environment when it’s active. With a little maintenance you will be able to sustain a good flow of power.

When purchasing the solar panel make sure that you purchase the “Plug & Play” type. This will reduce the hassle of having to read lengthy user manuals. Most of the solar panels arrive with all necessary connectors and controller and cost around $200 to $ 300, so that you can get on business right away. Be sure that the panel is capable of charging even during overcast days, so you can have power at any time of the year. Having the solar panel it is very important to select a suitable spot to install it. Most of the solar panels take about five to six hours to get fully charged, so it is important to expose much of the surface of the panel to the sun.

Always be prepared to obtain an expert advice if you feel that you are ready to invest on more solar panels. They can help you to get the best solar panels that will suite your requirements.

Such trends towards implementing small solar panels to produce power can make the once “green dream” a reality.
