  2. Hi very interested video post and very detailed I must say. I’ve? got an off-grid system (48v 350Ahr) an mppt charge controller and some panels.Now some other friend suggested to connect the charge cont to the EXTREME terminals of the battery bank, which is ok, I agree. Now where do you think is BEST to connect the charge controller AND Inverter to the batteries. Opt1) On the same terminals of the Charger Opt2) or on the opposite Terminals? for best load balance across batteries and charging.

I have done a course on this subject but have done any practical installation. Your presentation was thorough, very clear and excellent. I will follow up with the rest of your tutorials.?

  15. I found that my combination fridge/freezer uses 3 units? a day. I had two of them. Shortly after a local store sold a Bosch A++ rated fridge at a discount of 25%, so I bought it. I then sold the two old ones on gumtree and bought a A-rated chest Freezer. 6 units a day down to about 1.3. Freezer will pay for itself in two years. Fridge will do it in 4.5 years. To make a long story short: If your fridge uses 5 units a day, replace it.

  22. You need a new fridge if it is drawing 15 amps. What you might have seen is the starter capacitor surge at the start up cycle. Your fridge should only draw between 1 and 2 amps during run. It will draw much higher during defrost cycle’s because? the defrost mode uses a resistive heater for several minutes about twice a day.

  23. Where I live installation company’s won’t even give you an option to? go off Grid if you are already on the grid. They all only try to sell grid tie systems I have asked for estimates for both and I get told every time that I am stupid for asking. I just want to know the numbers because just having a meter on the wall has a monthly charge. My problem is I don’t want to pay my power bill 25 years in advance before I see a pay back and yet still tied to the grid.

  24. Interesting. If WROL occurs, the last thing you will want to be visible is solar panels. The presence of solar panels indicates a high level of being prepared. Rather, one will want a battery bank? and a quiet gas or diesel generator that will charge batteries

  25. how many Solar solar panels do i need to run my
    refrigerator 15 amps

    this is where all my power goes

    i looked at metter yester at noon and again today

    i used 5 kw or 5 w

    the metter out side went up 5

    nothen eles was on in the house

    i turned all the breakers off but 1 to run the refrigerator

    so i know it was only the refrigerator that used 5 at the metter

    so just to run that 1 thing

    to plug it in somewhere eles

    do they even make somthing? that can haddle such a chage

    if so what ??
