Around $7000. Expensive, but the reason I tell everyone to spend money on energy efficiency BEFORE you go solar. Updating appliances and home insulation can get the entire dwelling to consume less than 2000 watt hours. So the system mentioned above could? run the entire house off grid VS a single A/C unit.

So panels are like batteries XD. You can either? increase the volts or the amps but only one or the other depending on how you wire it all together. Tyvm, this is the info I needed! XD

Do you have any experience with the flexible plastic solar panel material. It’s output is only about 40-45% of the microcrystaline panels, but you can drive nails through it, bend it, use it for roofing, and shading or cloudy weather has much less effect on it. The same man who invented it also invented a battery for the EV1 car. Exxon bought his patent(s), so we may never see them. Somehow I bet the guy dies? before the 17-25 years is up, or Exxon will get congress to extend the patents.
If Watts=Volts x Amps how do you get more or less power from 3 panels? You get the same regardless. A sine wave inverter can be? made to handle any voltage. You may have to build it yourself though.
Hi michalmalec1 to answer your question NO! you do not need a battery bank nor a dump load in your? system. There are two main divisions of solar and that is off grid or grid tied. The description of how you would like to do your project is grid tied. You will not need a charge controller, instead you will need to get what is known as a grid tied inverter. The larger your system the more it is worth investing in a large grid tie inverter. No meter needed just plug in.
Depends if you have a charge controller or inverter rated to handle a voltage at that? peak. Most 12volt panels are actually 17-18 volt panels so be sure to calculate it up correctly to cover optimal conditions even though not likely. Also be sure to keep the same characteristics throughout the string because in series the end of your string is going to share the amperage of your lowest outputting panel. Also keep in mind that shading will tremendously cut power in the entire string. Good luck!!
Technically the best method to power what you seem to want to do is to build a grid tied system. There is a substantial power loss through each phase of changing the? energy to be used at the end result in your electrical system. Example (solar -> charge controller 70%-96% efficient -> battery bank *electrochemical change *90% efficiency -> inverter *95% efficiency -> then power loss from the load.) Hi, i would like to ask you if i need a battery bank and a dumb load in my solar system.? Can i connect my solar panels directly to inverter via charge controler and then connect inverter to main socket?
I dont want? to go totally off grid, i just want my electricity meter go backwards, when sun is shining. I live in UK, it is legal here, u only need a special meter for that and let your electricity provider know.
Tell me if this is possible and what will i need for that.

Thx for the video! Voltage is so confusing. Once some panels are interconnected, they become like a new independent unit? I mean if I connect in serial 2 solar panels 60w, 18v output.. I will have a ” new solar unit ” of 120w 36v? and that “new solar unit could be connected in a new system with a 100w 36v output solar panel in paralel to have 220w 36v? Anyone knows? how accurate voltage needs? to be.. as in, if i have a 12v led and I plug it to a 18v solar panel…is this is wrong?
