  1. I only have uploaded 2 videos, both to do with cars 🙂 I have 12 years experience as a carpenter. Part of that experience I have worked on a lot of commercial properties where I have repaired every kind of roof leak? you can think of! This includes removing all the conduits roughly screwed on top of the iron from lazy CCTV/Air conditioning tradesmen. I have no formal solar qualifications however I have been self teaching ready to do an off grid install soon. I hope my comment didn’t offend.

  2. Drifterdan1 – I? watched your video. Very informative. Do you work in the solar industry or just a hobby?

  3. Oh and one more thing, the decktite(rubber boot) shouldn’t have an silicone on the outside(other than a small neat bead). They should seal the conduit up where it goes through the iron, then silicone the mating? surface of the boot and rivet it down to the iron. It would help if they at least tried to pre mold the alloy strip in the boot to get a better fit.

  4. As for the DC disconnect switch, that’s common practice also however that doesn’t make it right. Ideally a small fuse box could be installed under the inverter to reduce the conduit run and to hide the switch(assuming its legal to put the switch in an enclosure.)

Id be talking to them about that, not acceptable. ? At least you got a good quality SMA inverter 🙂

  5. That’s the sort of rubbish I see on commercial properties. At the very worst they could lift the iron and run the cable most of that distance and then pop the cable up and? under the wall cladding, thus only a short run of conduit is visible. They could at least use solid conduit and mount it straight for you. Realistically they have simply laid it on top because that’s the quickest way.

  6. Lucky I found this video helped me make my mind up about not going with? Mark Group. Thanks for putting it online. Do they own shares in Selleys?

  7. The poor workmanship shown in the video overshadows the whole video guys if you want to produce a? good video then show your best work
