I would like to see the solar panel you built. And solar & wind is the way to go and the way of the future. However, the price of? solar applications have to come way down so the average home owner could afford a total home powered by solar. I have a small ranch and I had an est.of $33,000 to install…and that’s with the gov’t incentives.

2 12 volt batteries ran parallel? is 12 volts. the amperage is doubled. your statment would be true if it was in series.
Sure, I’d be glad to have a copy. I love to see what you come up with. However, right now it’s on a moving dolly. Next week, on my days off, I will be mounting it on permament swivel casters.The whole idea of this setup was to make it portable. I can put it where I want to, plus take it out of the elements too. battery cables at Adance Auto Parts & Tractor Supply Co. were $5.99 & 6.99.
The wire, 30 amp fuses, battery clamp terminals, misc. items, I already had at no price.
Hi Wolfeman351, Here is the list of the things I bought for my solar project.
2 HF solar panel kits. (on sale with a coupon for $149.99 ea.) Oh by the way, I do have an “extra” coupon for 1 of these kits for 149.99 if your are interested. It expires on 8/22/12. If so, send me your address and I’ll send it to you tomorrow.
2 marine deep cell batteries from Advance Auto Parts on sale for $84.99 ea.. Plus I had 2 cores that knocked off $10 from the total amount.

great set up? looks very portable
That’s okay I do it all the time too. That exerciser is a Guthy-Renker fitness. It’s very heavy duty and its made of steel. The post alone are about as round as a pop can. You would need something like this because of all the weight. On my next days off? from work, I’ll be looking for those dolly casters to mount. Then I’ll just have my son help me lift of the fame so they can be mounted…as simple as that! Best wishes!

Thank you! This was such a fun project. I have been thinking all along about other projects that I like? to do. If and when I get some time I might dabble in another greenpower project. I would post that one too. I like your last sentence! Your right, by sharing we “all” learn it makes society a better place. What you give out you’ll get it back tenfold.
If it’s just a sump pump. However, if it’s well pump used for your whole house (like my is) its not! Because that is? 220 line…example what a dryer uses. That’s a lot of power, more then this little system can handle.
